I've seen a whole load of angles from this war on terror, coming at it from all plausible angles, what I hadn't seen, which is what I'm begining to believe now that if the nightmare was fantasy, which at one point it must have been, certain groups have turned that fantasy into reality a reality that may now seem unstoppable .... of course if you switch off all technology the war on terror does not exist in the same way that devestating changes in Earth Science does not exist. How can we be 4 years into this yet be in a position where things have been allowed to snowball into sets of unstoppable movements. People on both sides of the coin with lust for power or who have been gifted the opportunity to influence people into a moral sense of duty, how can they have been allowed to get to this stage? And did they really think the solution was to be found in fighting fire with fuel? We are caught in the middle, we are the decent folk who want nothing to do with either side of the coin.
Tonight I saw how the World Wide Web (not the Internet) is playing a motivating role in this war, through the three part documentary series currently airing on BBC2. I still find it kinda strange that the whole idea of the Internet was a US military project. I still don't believe in the organisation of global terror, it simply cannot be a reality right now, not just yet. To be honest it's as sickening as the military action taken since 9/11 and it's deeply concerning that a technology I align myself with greatly can be open to such abuse, but then that's the poetic of cause and effect, equilibrian and balance, almost good and bad. I find it horrifying that people who run forums that glorify hate and destruction can claim they are not doing anything wrong. Unfortunatly it's another chapter in the story of the biggest revolution in how we communicate, so how do we fully end this madness before it gets way out of hand? Either which way I look at it I can't align myself with military action or extreamisim and like many of you guys reading I can only choose to take the side of people caught up in this power play, in this theater production I hope that will end peacefully. The whole thing is nonsense and so far we haven't even begun to tackle the root causes. Switching of or controlling the Internet won't cure the disease.
That's my thought of the day ..... how did it ever come to this? At some point in the past this situation did not exist.
